Watermelon Lemonade

Nothing says summer like a refreshing summer drink. Fresh squeezed watermelon lemonade is a treat that combines the tartness of lemons with the sweetness of watermelon to in a combination that just clicks.  It works well together and is so deliciously sweet and refreshing. You will love this recipe for lemonade with it’s sweet summery variation.

Watermelon Lemonade

Watermelon Lemonade

A delicious recipe for lemonade, this Watermelon Lemonade Recipe is sure to be a hit in your house! Its the perfect thirst quencher!

Ingredients

  • 1 10 oz bottle of pure lemon juice (try Minute Maid or 365 organic brand from Whole Foods Market)
  • *You can use the equivalent in fresh squeezed lemons. You will need the juice of approximately 7 lemons
  • 6 cups red seedless watermelon
  • 6 cups water
  • 3/4 cup sugar, cane sugar, Splenda or Stevia

Instructions

  1. In a blender, puree watermelon. Pour watermelon juice through a strainer to remove larger pieces and any seeds that may be in the mixture. Pour watermelon juice back into blender, slowly blend lemon juice in. Continue blending until mixture is smooth.
  2. Transfer mixture to a pitcher; add sugar and water and mix until well blended. Taste mixture, add additional sugar if necessary. Serve in a cup over ice, garnish with watermelon piece if desired.
