Two Ingredient Slow Cooker Pork Chops

The past week has been busy and these slow cooker pork chops has come in handy. It was nice to have a day yesterday just to sit and relax. I’m not one that does well relaxing. I’m so used to being on the go that I have a hard time just sitting there. I really can’t even remember a time I’ve watched an entire movie without working on some project as well. So having a slow cooker recipe on hand to allow me to take a few minutes to myself feels heavenly!

Over the weekend I had a chance to get together with some other bloggers. It was great to finally put names to faces. Highlights of the day?

* Spending half of lunch going back and forth with a fellow blogger trying to figure out where we knew each other from. We finally narrowed it down to college and found we had even lived in the same apartment building.

* Listening to fabulous bloggers like Chef In Training. I could totally identify with her–she also has a husband that travels a lot and made me feel totally okay with the fact that you can tweet, hold a baby on your hip and take a picture of your dinner for your next blog post all at the same time. So nice to know I’m not the only one that is trying to balance it all!

* Running into Maria of Two Peas and Their Pod. Besides inspiring me to outdo her in the cookie department from time to time (I’m competitive, but in a good way. We’re talking cookies here).  She and I went on one of our local television stations together back in the early days of blogging for us and both of us have had such busy schedules that it was great to run into each other again.

Okay, back to the pork chop recipe. This is a really very difficult recipe. You’ll need boneless pork chops–I used thin style this time but use boneless pork loins from time to time too. It doesn’t really matter. You also need a can of this:

healthy cream of mushroom soup I used this brand, but again, any brand is just fine. Just note if you do use the organic variety it is thinner than the traditional Campbell’s style cream of mushroom soup so you will need to add a little flour to thicken it up. Just a note that this Health Valley brand is gluten free. Bonus!

Set your crockpot to low, throw in the pork chops and can of cream of mushroom soup and you’re ready to head out the door. When you get back home at night your dinner awaits you.

I will warn you that your pork chops won’t turn that lovely browned colored that they do when you bake or pan fry them. My husband has this thing with me cooking meat and always inspects it. He thought it didn’t look done but I assured him he was going to be okay. And he was. The pork comes out tender and delicious and the cream of mushroom adds a subtle hint of flavor. Cook Time: 6 hours

Two Ingredient Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Tender, pull apart pork chops with a subtle undertone. This is one quick and easy weeknight meal.


  • 4 whole boneless pork loins
  • 1 14.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup


  1. Set crockpot to low setting.
  2. Add the pork loins and cream of mushroom soup.
  3. Cook for approximately six to eight hours on low heat or four hours on high heat. Spoon some of the remaining cream of mushroom soup over the top of the pork chops when serving. Serve meal with rice and vegetables if desired.
  4. Just a note: Any pork chop will work--thin style or regular as long as it is boneless. Also note that your meat will not become a traditional brown color like baked or pan fried pork.
