Love this article? Love us on BlogLovin’.

This week we’re giving credit to the MAN.

Yes, the MAN.

man food

If you’re looking for a recipe that your man will love, you got to get into his mind first. When you get into his mind, you find that food is a big part of it. I had a difficult time with this early on in my marriage. When we first got married, the .99 Wendy’s chicken nuggets and the .99 side salad were considered a meal to me. That was a snack to him. Whenever I serve a soup, he asks where the bread is to go with it. Over the years I’ve learned that there is a science to his eating and a reason I can’t get rid of these stubborn 10 pounds. In honor of men everywhere, today we are giving you the top 10 “MAN” approved foods. I’ve included lot’s of great recipes to go along with each food because heaven knows it would’ve helped me twelve years ago when we first got married. It would have also saved our food bill too since we ended up eating out almost every night when dinner didn’t turn out. Even today I’m still trying to perfect and fine tune recipes like the classic roast. I’ve channeled some of the best experts to help you create the best man food out there. Fifty recipes. Ten categories.

It’s MAN food week. Oh, and don’t forget to keep coming back this week because we’ve got plenty of  NEW man approved meals for you.

#1: ROAST

Coming in at number one is the classic American Sunday night dinner. Who doesn’t love a good roast? Okay me, but I’m a G-I-R-L so that doesn’t count. Add some potatoes, onions and carrots and dinner just got a whole lot better. Whether you cook your roast in the oven or the crockpot, you can’t go wrong with a roast.

#9: SIDES

Sides are an important compliment to any dish, and a man knows that sides are necessary. Why enjoy a steak without the mashed potatoes? Who can eat a hamburger without a side of pickles or chips? Should you even take a bite of hot dog without a side of beans to go with it? Yes, sides not only compliment, they challenge your meal to become better.
