Chicken Parmesan Sliders

This recipe for chicken parmesan sliders makes weeknight meals a breeze  when you can get dinner on the table in under thirty minutes! Made with slider buns, chicken tenders, and a cheesy marinara sauce you can’t go wrong for dinner! A family favorite recipe!

I struggle most weeknights to get anything on the table at a decent hour. We are in the midst of football season at our house, and practices are right in the middle of the dinner hour. Actually, everything seems to hit right during the dinner hour. Cranky two year olds, kids needing help with homework (or having yet another fight broken up), dogs getting into the trashcan or digging in the yard. The husband suddenly needs me to help him with a project and all of a sudden Mom’s not in the kitchen and everyone is ready to eat.

It is so, so tempting to throw the boxes of cereal onto the counter and just tell everyone to be quiet, grab a bowl and eat. (Okay, I MAY do that on rare occasion). But for the most part I know that a good healthy end to the night is crucial for happy kids in the morning.

Because we all know if the kids are happy the parents are happy.

This is an easy recipe that is made a little nicer with the use of some premade items. If you have homemade marinara sauce than by all means use it! This recipe is flexible like that.

Chicken Parmesan Sliders

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Yield: 4 servings (count on younger kids only having one slider each)

Serving Size: 2 sliders


  • 4 chicken breasts or 8 chicken tenders
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 cup italian bread crumbs
  • 1 jar four cheese marinara sauce
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Slider buns
  • Lettuce


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On a cutting board, cut the chicken breasts into fourths and the chicken tender pieces into half. In a small bowl, whip together the eggs and water. Dip each chicken breast or tender into the egg mixture, then roll in the bread crumbs on both sides.
  2. Place chicken on a lightly greased baking sheet. Cover. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 20 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink in the center. Uncover the last five minutes of baking to brown the breadcrumbs.
  3. While chicken is cooking, open jar and place marinara in a saucepan. Cover and set to low to warm while chicken is cooking.
  4. Remove chicken from oven, open slider bun and place one of the chicken breasts inside the bun. Top with several tablespoons of marinara and a slice of provolone cheese. You can also add lettuce if desired.
