slow cooker cranberry sauce

The holidays are going to be tough this year. We are not sure if we will be gone, here or spending it with family. It’s going to be tough but wherever we spend it we will be fun because we are family.

I’ve been responsible for making Thanksgiving dinners in the past and one of the things that I can always use a helping hand with is multi tasking the days food. We always start with a good breakfast because we love to spend it outdoors. Whether we are hunting or shooting, playing football with friends, going to the park, or spending the day indoors baking we love to make sure that we start the day with a good breakfast.

When I fell across this recipe this year I was excited! I love cranberry sauce–FRESH cranberry sauce, not the canned nasty stuff that grandma plops from the can onto a plate that retains it’s rigid form.

  4. To serve: Serve warm straight from the crockpot, allow the mixture to cool and serve at room temperature, make this sauce ahead of time (it can be chilled in the refrigerator up to three days ahead of Thanksgiving or for three days after Thanksgiving).
