This year we did something a little different on the website–we posted more about ourselves. The gifts we gave away, the parties we threw, and went more in depth about some of the things we dealt with living with a chronic illness.
Thanks for reading, and come back Friday to see what our personal favorites of 2013 were!
These Peppermint Sugar Scrubs went crazy on Pinterest this winter. They take just a few ingredients and a few minutes to make. We recycled old baby jars and used peppermint essential oils to make ours. These gifts were happily received!
Yes, another crockpot recipe made the list. (By now, we aren’t that surprised). We gave some simple tips for adapting your favorite recipes over to summer cooking. We know you are busy, we get it!!
Our 2013 organic and ecofriendly gift guide is never easy to put together, and we are grateful for all the sponsors this year who hosted reviews and giveaways. We found a lot of great gifts this year including snot soap, makeup kits and compasses. These gifts are great to give all year, so if you missed out make sure you head over and pin your favorites.
This post was for the men. We posted this around Father’s Day, and it went crazy! This year we hope to post even more top men favorites. Find out what your top 10 men’s favorite foods are NOW!
We love unique contests and this one we worried about how well it would go over on the site. It became our top contest of 2013 with numerous stories of thanks pouring in–even after the contest ended! The stories were amazing and helped us to get through a hard holiday. We loved reading your tender stories of who you would give to. If you have time, head over and read them–just grab some Kleenex first!
We go to this recipe over and over and over again. (If you’re confused, come back Friday to see our top favorites). Salted caramel sauce was all the rage this year and since I am not one to use fancy gadgets, we found a way to make the salted caramel sauce without the use of a thermometer.
I taught a class on making your own baby food and decided to post the resources I found. This continues to be one of the most popular tutorials on our site.
We use a lot of coconut sugar in our baking, simply because it is so versatile. We posted a handy little guide for cooking with this natural sugar and it’s been growing in popularity throughout the year. Lot’s of you were using this unique sugar during the holiday season so much it moved to #3 on the list!
We think that you must have as hard of a time keeping kids entertained as we do because our list of thousands of kids summer activities made #2 this year and was our #2 most pinned list. We still use a lot of these activities even though summer has come and gone.
Our #1 most popular craft and miscellaneous post of 2013 would have to be our Minecraft Birthday Party ideas. When searching for inexpensive ideas for my son’s Minecraft birthday party, we started posting not only what we did but some of the great ideas we found as well. Just don’t laugh at our Creeper cake.
