Wonuts have taken over the world. Or at least they have in Chicago, home of Waffles Cafe. Take a waffle, deep fry it and add some sprinkles and frosting and ‘ta da’ it’s a wonut!
Move over cronuts. You were soooo last year.
Note: This is why I will NEVER own my own bakery. EVER. These guys would never make it to the display rack.
I am going to have to come up with a healthy wonut. But wouldn’t that just make them an extra crispy waffle? My brain will be hard at work this weekend. Here comes a three a.m. “aha!” moment.
In the meantime I will be dreaming of red velvet, mexican chocolate, triple chocolate and liege wonuts.
