Just Dance This Holiday Season!

When I was a kid, my parents never let me have a video game system. I used to go over to my friends to play her er, first or second edition Mario Brothers game. I know, I just dated myself, big time! For my parents, they always wanted us kids to be out and about playing sports and staying active.

When I started having kids buying a video game system didn’t even cross my mind. But for my husband it did. So we had to compromise. We got an Xbox to keep the kids moving with the Kinect system. (We’ve also had the Wii system too). One of our first games we bought was Just Dance. And every year since then my daughter just can’t wait for that year’s newest edition to come out.

This year has brought a different girl out. When she got to open her gift, she started out a little shy for her ‘show your gift’ photo. We’ve got a few weeks before Christmas morning present photos roll around. We’ll get her there.

It didn’t take long because a few seconds later she was getting into the teen ‘I am so cool!’ selfie pose mode. I don’t understand it. Don’t they know in twenty years those photos will appear on the “worst photos of the 2010 century” page and her child will er, laugh at her extremely high bangs that required half a bottle of aerosol spray which back then our parents said was responsible for killing the ozone layer? She couldn’t help it though but we’ll definetely work on the pose.

This, THIS is the photo that every parent wants. That beautiful excited child who loves their present. Much better. And yes, I was told that I needed to let everyone out there know that the shadows made her nose look big and her forehead shiny. And that this picture was taken after a long day of Taekwondo which explains the crazy hair and tired eyes.

She was excited to get her gift, but we as parents love Just Dance 2015 because of the way that it promotes physical activity and family togetherness. We often catch the kids sweating and laughing to favorites like “Walk This Way” by Run DMC & Aerosmith or newer hits like “Problem” by Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea and “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.

We love that it promotes family togetherness. Many a family night is spent in a Just Dance danceoff. The kids always win and we parents always loose. That’s just how it goes, right? Just Dance 2015 allows you to burn calories, get on your feet, have fun and exercise in disguise! Just Dance 2015 includes over 40 of the hottest hit tracks of today and throwbacks from years ago.

Just Dance 2015 is the game that gets kids and families moving and will be enjoyed by your whole family this holiday season. If you don’t believe me, see the excited photo above. You can purchase Just Dance 2015 from Amazon or at a major retailer near you.

And this year, Just Dance 2015 and Stomp Out Bullying have partnered to show people everywhere that “it’s okay to dance to your own beat!” and bring awareness to National Bullying Prevention Month.
