A recount of many of my mishaps proving that kitchen disasters happen to even the best of cooks. (Although I am NOT the best cook by any means. Rachael Ray, Martha Stewart and Bobby Flay take that title).

Hey there,
I just wanted to put this out there but I have no blog of my own. I was boiling apples to make applesauce for my son today, and apparently I burnt them. I suppose there was not enough water in the pot (even after I added some while cooking.) Anyways what bothered me was the smell. It was like unburnt tobacco… Very Strange? Ever hear of this before?
BTW they were “Pink Lady” apples.
Cheers,
Chelsea
Sad to say, I’ve done that.
It was probably the lack of water that caused it to burn. I’ve had to watch it closely and add water as needed.
Did they smell like tobacco??
Probably.
