Her first dance is in the books. And it was a lot of work! For this dinner since her date is gluten free, we made a gluten free french gourmet dinner and dessert that matched what the others were eating.
When my daughter came home earlier that week she talked about what the menu was going to be. They decided to serve dinner and since Preference was a french theme, they went with a french themed dinner.
- French Onion Soup
- Martenelli’s sparkling apple cider
My daughters date was gluten free and she thought that she would just stop at the store and grab him some food. Being gluten and mostly dairy free it is really tough when you go somewhere and find non gluten free well intended people just buy you whatever is labeled “gluten free.” We all know there are certain brands, etc that are better than others and I wanted to make sure for a nice dance that he was able to eat what every one else was eating. It always stinks to watch people eat really good food that you can’t find. Anywhere.
