I can’t tell you what it means when I see a sale on my website goes through. It means the world to know that I solved a solution to a problem that someone was having. That they felt confident enough in me to solve this problem for them. And I want to make sure that I show my appreciation for how much it means to me.
Meaning Behind a Handwritten Note
Writing a handwritten note is a way for me to show appreciation and show that you taking the time to search out and purchase something from me means a lot.
Handwritten notes are meaningful because they:
- Are rare to send.
- Show your customers that they are worth something.
- Often cost more than sending an email, sending a text or sending a message through social media.
- Handwritten cards have permanence.
- You are adding a personal touch in a world that has become so reliant on technology and impersonalization.
- A handwritten note engages more of the brain of the reader.

- Offering discounts for repeat customers: How about 10% for first time purchases? Or 20% off for second time returning customers, etc.
- Offering special sales or loyalty programs for repeat customers: Example: A sneak peek sale for new products to those who have purchased from you before.
- Adding a free product to a purchase: It could be something as simple as free socks with a full outfit purchase or throwing in a surprise free product.
- Membership Savings: Getting free items or savings for buying a membership or upgrading an existing membership to offer extra perks.
- Giveaways: Giveaways can be a great way to give away one larger gift to customers, but also build your base of customers as well. Example: Giving away a large gift basket at the holidays.
