This weekend was a quiet weekend but relaxing. Next weekend will be a whirlwind with Easter so it was nice to take it easy, finish up some schoolwork and do some shopping.
Of course, before the kids left for a trip with their Dad, I was so excited because my son graduated to a new belt in taekwondo and my daughter made her usual concerted effort to leave as big of a mess as possible for me to clean up. This time it was this:
By the way, have I told you how much fun driving is now that everyone gets their own row?:
While the kids were gone...I went running. Friday and Saturday I got some good runs in. It was a little windy. Gotta love running into the wind in one direction and away from the wind in another.
I then thought it would be a great idea to go to the gym. Does anyone else love taking a quick nap in between reps when doing decline chest presses? Just me? I could reword it to be in between rep "meditation." But I had to come up with a reason why it took me 30 minutes to do 4 sets of 10 reps and this was the best I could do.
Afterwards my run and workout were so exhausting that I decided to relax a little. Netflix and Almond Dream bites=best post workout nap ever.
Until this booger came along requiring belly rubs. She ruined EVERY nap this weekend.
Because every weekend the kids are gone she thinks I am able to devote my entire weekend to her.
And it was sad because my weekend was devoted to video chatting and she was taking over every video chat! Always sad when my boyfriend has to fly to his office for work but thankful for good technology. The last two years of staring at myself during classes has made me more comfortable looking at the camera, but I still don't like it. I think he was a little disappointed that I spent the entire weekend in PJ's or workout clothes. I did get makeup on once or twice which I considered a milestone.
While I wanted to relax more, I couldn't because there was some serious Easter shopping and meal planning going on. Here are thirty five allergy friendly Easter day ideas from baket stuffers to traditional Easter meals that will taste great even if you experience allergies. I don't think that allergies mean you can't enjoy your favorites so I made sure these were family friendly Easter favorites.
