    Back to School Lunch Recipes

    Three combinations of back to school lunch recipes make lunch time easy for you and fun for kids! Great recipes for teens!

    Every year school sneaks up on me and then hits me like a ton of bricks. I usually start back to the school first for my training. Followed by that is my own semester for my masters starts.

    Then of course the kids start back to school and that's when all the craziness starts.

    Four of us with five different school schedules.

    The first couple of weeks the kids always want homemade lunch. This year they especially do. I have kids starting elementary, junior high and high school. The two oldest hate navigating the lunchroom the first few days and would rather have home lunches so they can worry about finding friends.

    So today I make lunches for them. Here are a few of our favorite combinations:

    TRAIL MIX LUNCH

    Chocolate Trail Mix, Peanut Butter and Jelly Trail Mix, or Caramel Apple Trail Mix
    Carrots
    Juice box
    Beef Jerky
    Cheese Stick

    BREAKFAST FOR LUNCH

    Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins, Chocolate Zucchini Muffins, Cranberry Orange Muffins
    Cinnamon Applesauce cups
    Yogurt
    Juice box

    Barbeque Chicken Salad, Creamy Southwest Ranch Chicken Pasta, Honey Lime Chicken Salad

    I've been making over recipes since I was ten. Back then I wasn't so great at it and created everything from rubber cakes for my Dad's birthday to rock muffins that put a hole in the wall.

    Diagnosed with colitis ten years ago and with three young children I had to learn to cook. But life was busy and there wasn't a lot of time to cook or figure out what I could eat!
