A Carousel and Parasols Themed Party for Child, Teen, Wedding or Adult Gatherings

Published: Jul 18, 2019 · Modified: Jan 14, 2023 by burntapple · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

I'm not even kidding. I think I have a pre Bride zilla on my hands. I'm totally kidding but not kidding on that part but this girl had a vision for her big day from the dress to the theme and was very much wanting it to be very white and clean and pretty looking.

Since many of the people there had food allergies or intolerances I made sure that we included signs with the names of food and if they contained gluten, dairy, etc. Also mentioning the type of gluten free flour you use helps too. I hate having to ask questions of the host when I know they are busy so having the signs always helps me.

    Decorations

We went with a carousel and parasols themed party. The decorations turned out perfect. We put flowers in Mason jars for the buffet table decorations. We also used different colored and texture white picture frames for the table. We topped the table decorations off with these pretty parasols and a carousel cupcake holder.

    Food

This is where I usually go crazy. Okay a lot crazy. My daughter loves black beans and rice and wanted to eat that. I hesitated a little to keep with the theme but she pushed (see pre Bridezilla--kidding but she was adamant) and we went with that for the menu.

    Activities

Since this was a family event and during the summer I rented some chairs from Connie Events (801-471-7739) for the inside so the adults could sit and talk in the air conditioning! and a castle bounce house for the kids so they would stay outside. We also have a teeter totter and trampoline outside so the kids wanted NOTHING to do with being inside. They even ate outside too so the kid mess was minimal inside.

The event turned out the way that she wanted it--surrounded by her friends and family. It was the perfect summer party!
