I've got a three year old. Yes, she is a little bundle of joy most of the time. Every afternoon we rush home from preschool and cuddle on the couch to catch the episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse that we missed while she was away at school. We are currently (desperately!!!) trying to potty train her and my husband has told her a trip to Mickey Mouse's house--Mickey's more, tropical island to be exact--will happen in the fall. (Thank your frequent flyer miles). But first she has to start to use the potty.
So for now, our Mickey Mouse adventures lie in the living room with her singing and dancing to the Hot Dog song, screaming hysterically that she rode a cable car just like Mickey when she sees Mickey Mouse's Cable Car Chaos episode appear on TV and asking how many more hours until we go to Mickey Mouse's house. Thank heavens for countdown tracker apps.
My three year olds other favorite app? Our Mickey Mouse lover has been having a great time playing Mickey's Magical Arts World. She loves exploring games like Donald's costume play where she can explore storytelling, improvisation, costume design, character development and role play with Donald. Her other favorite is Mickey's music maker where she considers concepts of rhythm, tempo, patterns and melodies with Mickey. In addition to these games there are several other games that your child can play including Mickey's Drawing Studio where you can see drawings come to life in Mickey cartoons, building and designing in Minnie's Art-chitect, and even a fun game with Goofy!
Since she is on the younger side of the recommended age for the apps, I find there are a few that she enjoys but needs my help on. I am excited that she can grasp the concept of the apps now but will also have the opportunity to grow into the apps as her dexterity and motor skills develop more.
For me, I can view how she's doing on the Disney Imagicademy Parents app. The app allows me to see what she's created and designed and I also love the advice and tips that I receive. I love the tool and find that I enjoy seeing what she's designed the most.
Disney Imagicademy is designed for kids ages 3-8 to inspire a natural love of learning and encourage kids to learn by creating, making and doing. Disney Imagicademy is the first interactive learning experience with the Disney characters and stories families love. I have found that Disney Imagicademy has been a great tool for helping her build her imagination and creativity and is a great extension of her Disney love.
Disney Imagicademy apps are available exclusively for iPad and can currently be found on Apple’s App Store in the Kids, Education and Entertainment categories.
