    Healthy Wonut

    Wonuts have taken over the world. Or at least they have in Chicago, home of Waffles Cafe. Take a waffle, deep fry it and add some sprinkles and frosting and 'ta da' it's a wonut!

    Move over cronuts. You were soooo last year.

    Note: This is why I will NEVER own my own bakery. EVER. These guys would never make it to the display rack.

    I am going to have to come up with a healthy wonut. But wouldn't that just make them an extra crispy waffle? My brain will be hard at work this weekend. Here comes a three a.m. "aha!" moment.

    In the meantime I will be dreaming of red velvet, mexican chocolate, triple chocolate and liege wonuts.

    I've been making over recipes since I was ten. Back then I wasn't so great at it and created everything from rubber cakes for my Dad's birthday to rock muffins that put a hole in the wall.

    Diagnosed with colitis ten years ago and with three young children I had to learn to cook. But life was busy and there wasn't a lot of time to cook or figure out what I could eat!

    Burnt Apple became my personal coffee shop--a place to share, talk and vent! I share minimal ingredient recipes with five ingredients or less and ready in under thirty minutes!
