Homemade Jello Jigglers + V8 V Fusion

October 5, 2013 by burntapple 1 Comment

A delicious homemade jello jiggler recipe made with V8 V-Fusion Refreshers juice.

Today is a special day. One because I never post anything on a Saturday, but two because I am sharing a great new product and recipe with you.

homemade jello jigglers

We made some "out of this world" jello jigglers from scratch. We used V8 V-Fusion Refreshers juice. We love it because it is made with both fruit and vegetable juices. V8 V-Fusion Refreshers are naturally sweetened, contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and are an excellent source of Vitamin C.

V8 V-Fusion Refreshers are available in four tasty flavors, Black Cherry Berry, Cranberry Grape, Tangerine Passionfruit and Peach Strawberry, providing premium juice refreshments that will make the whole family happy.

We really wanted a good, healthy snack so we made some homemade Jello Jigglers.

We've already made homemade jello and homemade fruit snacks. Now we've made some "out of this world" jigglers just in time for Halloween!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup fruit juice, divided (We used V8 V-Fusion Refresher in Black Cherry Berry)
  • 1 cup frozen fruit, any combination
  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin or 5 tsp gelatin (we used grass fed gelatin)
  • 1-2 tbsp of honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender mix together 1 cup of fruit juice and the one cup of frozen fruit until smooth.
  2. When blended, pour the mixture into a saucepan. Set heat to medium and allow the mixture to come to a full rolling boil.
  3. While juice and fruit are coming to a boil, pour the remaining ½ cup of juice into a bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin over the juice and allow it to sit for several minutes.
  4. When liquid has come to a boil, pour it over the gelatin/juice mixture. Stir with a whisk until blended well and all gelatin has dissolved. Whisk in your sweetener if you are using. If there are seeds in the jello mixture, you may want to run it through a strainer to remove any seeds.
  5. Pour gelatin into an 8x8 inch square pan. Place pan in refrigerator and allow to cool and set for several hours. When jello has set, remove from refrigerator and cut into shapes using cookie cutters.
