With Christmas just around the corner, it's next to impossible to not think about treats. Like toffee, candy, chocolate, cake, pie and cookies. Recipes fill the internet for lot's of sweet goodies. The problem? Not everyone can eat those white sugar filled treats. So today, I'm sharing a recipe for a cake I made for some dear friends. Cooking for them always presents a fun challenge.
This vegan no sugar chocolate ganache is made with just a few simple ingredients. Honey, coconut oil, vanilla and almond milk. Such simple ingredients combined to make a delicious ganache perfect for any dessert.
No Sugar Vegan Chocolate Ganache
1 cup expeller pressed coconut oil (do not melt)
¾ cup chocolate almond milk
⅓ cup honey
½ tsp vanilla extract
Mix together the coconut oil, almond milk, honey and vanilla until coconut oil begins to break apart. (See first picture above). Pour onto warm cake, using the back of a spoon to distribute the ganache evenly over the cake. Eat cake warm, or allow ganache and cake to cool completely before eating.
