Our new Hamilton Beach Blender arrived and as soon as it was unwrapped my son began to reminisce about the time his uncle made him the most delicious, perfect, wonderful, smooth Nutella protein milkshake. My son commented that his uncle wouldn't give up the recipe and made them leave the room while he made it so they wouldn't see it. Oh that so sounded like a challenge to me. So to work we went trying to create the perfect replica of Uncle E's Nutella protein milkshake. We even recreated a dairy free Nutella protein milkshake so I could try some too. We agreed...it was delicious!
We used just a few simple ingredients to make the shake:
We used our new Hamilton Beach Sound Shield 950 blender to make this recipe. It has a unique two-piece commercial shield, along with technology in the base itself that significantly dims the sound associated with blending your favorite smoothies, salsas, and soups. And it does a fantastic job of blending anything I put to the test!
And oh my goodness can you BELIEVE Thanksgiving is LESS than two weeks away???? It is crazy to think about. Our dog sitter is booked and I'm worried that after the dog is boarded with them she may not want to come home! She'll be boarding with chickens, another dog and two cats...our dogs equivalent of hunting heaven. I hope that the cats and chickens come out okay. She did good through her meet and greet yesterday and showed no restraint with the chickens and was shaking like a leaf trying to show every ounce of restraint she could with the cats.
Today was a beautiful fall day with the temperatures reaching 60 and a perfect breath of air rustling the trees. The perfect day for a run. The dog and I cranked out 11 miles and after had to pick up the kids and then meet the dog sitter. After the dog sitter my daughter mentioned wanting to get a Starbuck's puppichino for the dog.
A what?? I asked her. She repeated and then begged. She knows I'm a sucker for places that provide treats for dogs so we stopped by Starbucks on the way home. The cookie dough cake pop and the puppichino were devoured.
And when we got home, it was time to create the perfect replica of the secret Nutella protein milkshake.
