A refreshing flavored water infused with peach and lemonbalm. This fruit flavored water is a perfect summer time quencher.
'Tis the season for flavored water this year. It seems like every magazine I've gotten delivered to my door this summer has flavored water gracing the cover. For water lovers like me, I love it! My Mom always had a saying, "Don't drink your calories." As a kid water and homemade lemonade were summertime staples. Rarely can I remember having juice or milk. Since my Dad was allergic to milk, we only really had it in our cereal each morning.
Habits are hard to break, and fast forwarding to today I still drink a lot of water. The problem is it can get really old really fast. Flavored fruit water is a perfect way to spice up regular water. I love it after a good long run or as an afternoon refresher. My sweet neighbor brought me some lemonbalm as a birthday gift. What a great birthday gift!
I know what your thinking.
What is Lemonbalm?
Lemonbalm has many uses. In the food world, it's used as a flavoring in ice cream, water, teas (iced and herbal), and fruit based meals, giving them a slightly minty flavor.
Medicinally it can be used as a mosquito repellant, and has been used to improve mood and mental performance.
Now you can use it as a perfect addition for this fruit infused water drink!

Ingredients
- 1-2 Peaches, cut and sliced
- ½ cup fresh chopped lemonbalm (if you can't find fresh lemonbalm at your store, look for lemonbalm essential oil. You can use a couple of drops to taste)
- Water
Instructions
- In a pitcher, place the lemonbalm and sliced peaches. Fill pitcher with water. Refrigerate, allowing pitcher to sit for several hours to overnight before serving to allow for full flavor. Remember, the longer it sits, the more the flavor. Serve on ice if desired.
