    Running with E-Hydrate

    April 14, 2016 by burntapple 12 Comments

You can tell the days are heating up. My first long run in the heat was pretty brutal and I felt sick for several hours after it even though I had tried to stay hydrated. The water fountains on the trail haven't been turned on yet this season and I forgot to pack water. I thought I'd be fine since it was still pretty early in the morning.

My son had the same experience the other day after playing outside and then heading off to an hour and a half soccer practice. He was doubled over with stomach cramps that night even though he had been drinking water and sports drinks.

We decided to try something new. E-hydrate offers a line of children's and adult sports drinks. The on the go protein drink comes in a convienent pouch and has only 4 grams of sugar and 25 grams of protein. The sports drinks offer a great dose of vitamins and more electrolytes than leading sports drinks.

We had the chance to try them out on our next few runs and loved that they contained all natural ingredients and a great taste. (I didn't have any problems switching my son from his favorite sports drinks to these. He loved the flavor). I drank the protein drink for a breakfast that kept me feeling full easily until lunch. The sports drinks were easy to pour into a water bottle and have on hand during soccer, taekwondo and on a run.

Today we're offering readers 20% off on E-hydrate products by using the code MOMSMEET.

I like to run. I could use some E-Hydrate to help me along the trails.

At first I was thinking we could use these when we do baseball, but then I remembered that we recently started hitting the nature trails in Dade City. This would be perfect! Hubby got major leg cramps after our first hike!

My favorite warm weather sport is hiking with my dog. This looks like a wonderful product.....much better than Gatorade.

I would use it for swimming and hiking. Also, my son will have spring practice and summer football camp so he could use the mix sticks.

I've been making over recipes since I was ten. Back then I wasn't so great at it and created everything from rubber cakes for my Dad's birthday to rock muffins that put a hole in the wall.

Diagnosed with colitis ten years ago and with three young children I had to learn to cook. But life was busy and there wasn't a lot of time to cook or figure out what I could eat!

Burnt Apple became my personal coffee shop--a place to share, talk and vent! I share minimal ingredient recipes with five ingredients or less and ready in under thirty minutes!
