Moscow mules are awesome. And fruit infused strawberry moscow mules are incredible! Grab your copper mug and let's head to the kitchen for this simple and easy drink. We provide an alcohol free moscow mule version too!
One of my favorite drinks is the moscow mule. It's trendy right now, but for a good reason. They are absolutely delicious! And they are easy to make. I love the strong flavor of the ginger offset with the hint of lime. This drink also has a fruit infused flavor that takes the traditional moscow mule to a whole new level!
Moscow mules are cocktails typically made with vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice. Ginger beer is alcohol free and tastes like a strong ginger ale. The vodka in moscow mules can easily be omitted but we HIGHLY recommend adding in some lemon lime soda if you do. We've tried it by just omitting the alcohol and the ginger can be a little overpowering, so we do recommend using a lemon lime soda to offset the ginger.
The cups are also important. The typical moscow mule is served in a copper cup. A copper cup keeps the drink colder for longer, therefore requiring less ice. The copper cup also gives the lime a much more crisp taste against the metal cup versus a traditional pint glass.
For the lime you will also want a juice press and for the fruit infusion in this recipe you will want a mulling tool if you have one. We actually suggest using a blender though. The pictures taken were using the mulling tool, and while it did a good job, we would've liked a little finer consistency so we do recommend throwing the fruit in the blender.
And to answer your questions, YES!! you can serve these in a cocktail, pint or wine glass if you want, but to be authentic we suggest the copper cups. And yes, we've heard about the copper cup health scare but I like the copper cups the best.
You can find all of the ingredients that you need from stores like Amazon.
