– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1 cup packed brown sugar – 2 large eggs – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 3 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 2 cups chocolate chips


Preheat and Prepare


Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream Ingredients


Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla


Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in vanilla extract.

Whisk Dry Ingredients


Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.

Combine and Bake


Gently fold in chocolate chips, scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, and bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
