Tis the season for spring holidays! I am soooo excited. The snow has been reduced to little tiny little white spots on the side of the road that get smaller and smaller each day I run by them. Spring is here and today as a member of the Secret Recipe Club we're celebrating spring holidays with a bunnies and leprechauns celebration.
Today I'm highlighting I Am a Honey Bee. I've had the pleasure of highlighting her in the past and am excited to share some of her best recipes for the spring holidays with you. Today I'll be sharing another breakfast recipe--whole wheat carrot cake waffles with a maple cream cheese drizzle. They were delicious and the kids loved that they thought they were eating what bunnies ate. (Elaborate stories of how the Easter bunny eats the same thing to get a child to eat orange stuff in their food is completely and totally acceptable. It works).
Since I can only highlight ONE recipe but we're covering TWO holidays, I wanted to help you build your recipe files by highlighting just a few recipes that caught my eye.
These Saint Patricks Day recipes would be perfect for leprechauns everywhere:
L-R: Extra cheesy brussel sprout gratin, sauteed green beans with lemon and almonds, Irish coffee blondies
And these Easter recipes are perfect for bunnies everywhere:
L-R: Spiced carrot soup, coconut cream pie, Â Cadbury mini egg brownies

Sneaky way to get kids (and the grownup ones as well) to eat carrots. I'm going to have to try this recipe. Great SRC choice.
Wow, those look delicious!
Hello Easter brunch!
Oh my....I think these would be perfect as part of an Easter Brunch Buffet.
All those dishes look delicious. I would have had a hard time picking. We love celebrating Easter with a big brunch. Waffles are always welcome. Happy Themed Reveal Day!
This looks amazing! Perfect way to get my older child to eat a little veggies too. Great pick!
Waffles! Carrot cake waffles! What a perfect idea for Easter breakfast! Thank you for choosing this one!
Oh do these sound so good. Love the idea for Easter brunch. Visiting from SRC
I love that you kids thought they were eating what bunnies ate! Too funny.
We have Bunny and let me tell you, she doesn't eat waffles. ha!
Thanks!
I almost made carrot cake pancakes for dinner tonight, but my carrots were too sad. I'm much more a waffle kind of gal so maybe it's a good thing! 😉
