Several years ago we remodeled our kitchen after moving into our house. The kitchen was in bad shape. Cabinet shelving was falling off, the counters had burn marks in them, and there were holes in the linoleum floor. My kids used to stick coins down the holes in the kitchen floor. I would be doing laundry in the basement and all of a sudden a coin (or whatever other object they deemed fun) would land on my head.
Through it all the one problem we never had were bugs. Post remodel we wait for spring to come. When spring comes and the weather heats up a herd of pesky little ants tries to make their way into our home. They only visit us those first couple of months of spring and they love to help themselves to dog food or whatever crumbs are left on the floor from kids. Diligent sweeping helps, but I'm no match for three kids, two dogs and a herd of ants.
I don't like bugs, and I don't like them to feel welcome in my home. Hot Shot® solutions have been a lifesaver in my home for those bugs that like to make their way past our home's "do not disturb" sign. Hot Shot® Insecticides are a great solution for keeping your home free of unwanted pests. The company even has a line of all natural insecticides perfect for spraying in a home with pets, children or those with sensitivities to harsher chemicals.
Around the house, I'm usually the one that is in charge of keeping those pesky little ants out. I also have no problem whacking a spider or other bug with a shoe repeatedly (gotta make sure it's dead, right?) I'm the bug hero of the indoors and the husband is in charge of outside animals like mice and garter snakes. Are you the bug hero in your family?
