Begin by coarsely chopping Oreo cookies, including or excluding the filling as desired. Sift out any small crumbs and set them aside for later use.
In a chilled mixing bowl, combine whipping cream and start mixing on high speed until soft peaks begin to form.
Gradually add powdered sugar while continuing to mix at high speed until well incorporated.
Just before reaching stiff peaks, add Oreo pudding mix to the mixture.
Reduce the mixer speed to low and gently incorporate the pudding mix with the whipping cream. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure even mixing.
Check the bottom of the bowl to ensure that the pudding mix hasn't clumped together. If necessary, gently fold the mixture a few times with a spoon to ensure it is well combined.
Turn the mixer back on for a few revolutions, being careful not to overmix the frosting.
Finally, add the chopped Oreo pieces to the mixture and fold them in gently with a spoon until evenly distributed. Be careful not to overmix to maintain the desired texture of the frosting.
