In a large saucepan set to medium heat, bring to a rolling boil the sugar, butter, milk and cocoa. Boil for one minute. Remove from heat and add peanut butter, vanilla, and oatmeal and stir until well blended. Spoon by tablespoons onto waxed paper and let set until cool.
