Wrap the loaf of bread in a layer of parchment paper, followed by a layer of foil. If you don't have parchment paper, heavy duty foil will work, just make sure to grease the foil.
Sprinkle the topping on top of the bread you will be using if desired
Combine the eggs and milk in a bowl, whisking until smooth. Pour over the loaf of bread evenly.
Wrap the foil and parchment paper around the loaf tightly, making sure there are no leaks.
Place over the campfire or grill on low to medium heat for approximately 30-40 minutes turning every few minutes to ensure even cooking. Remove from heat, and make sure that eggs are cooked.
Remove from fire and allow to cool for several minutes before serving.
To serve, mix together some powdered sugar and milk until a glaze forms. Drizzle over the bread if desired.
