1 ½poundsteak cut into bite size pieces--we recommend sirloinstrip loin, tenderloin, strip steak or rib eye.
½teaspoonsalt
½teaspoonpepper
For the sauce:
2tablespoonbutter unsalted
4clovesgarlic minced
¼teaspoonred pepper flakesoptional
To Garnish:
1tablespoonparsley fresh chopped or ½-1 tablespoon dried parsley
Instructions
In a skillet, add the oil. Heat the oil to high heat. Once oil is hot, add the steak pieces and sprinkle salt and pepper evenly over the steak.
Cook the steak on high heat for 2 minutes (do not stir the steak pieces during the first 2 minutes of cooking time). Allow the steak to get a nice sear on it. Stir the steak and cook an additional 2 minutes, or until the meat is a nice golden brown color. (Your total cooking time for the steak bites from start to finish will be about 4-6 minutes).
Pour the cooked steak bites onto a plate. Turn the heat on the skillet down to medium, then add the butter. After the butter has melted, add the garlic and red pepper flakes. (The red pepper flakes are optional and do add some heat to the steak). Cook until the garlic has turned a nice golden brown (about 30 seconds-1 minute of cooking time).
Pour the garlic butter mixture over the steak bites and toss to coat. Sprinkle the steak bites with fresh or dried parsley to garnish.
Notes
Store steak bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for several days or in the freezer for up to one month. Reheat.
