Is there anything better than delicious fried apples? Whether you enjoy these as a dessert or a side dish you'll love each bite of these famous Cracker Barrel fried apples with cinnamon.
2teaspoonsapple pie spice (can substitute 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ½ teaspoon nutmeg, ½ teaspoon allspice)
2tablespoonscornstarch or arrowroot powder
Instructions
STOVETOP: On the stovetop set to medium heat, place the apples and two cups of apple juice. Heat on medium heat for approximately 20 minutes. In a separate bowl, add ½ cup apple juice, cornstarch or arrowroot powder, and apple pie spice. Mix to combine, then pour onto the apples in the skillet. Heat until mixture comes to a boil and thickens, then remove mixture from skillet and serve.
PRESSURE COOKER: Place all the ingredients into your pressure cooker according to manufacturer recommendations. Cook for approximately five minutes, then allow a natural release.
SLOW COOKER: Place all ingredients into your slow cooker and cook on high for approximately two hours.
