chocolate chips, melted

Instructions
Double Boiler: Melt chocolate over simmering water in a heatproof bowl, stirring constantly until smooth.
Microwave: Heat chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until melted and smooth.
Shape Medals:
Pour a thin layer (about ¼ inch) of melted chocolate into muffin tins or circle cookie cutter shapes.
Smooth the chocolate evenly and remove any air bubbles.
Insert a straw into the top of each chocolate circle. (Refer to the video for detailed instructions.)
Place the filled molds in the refrigerator for approximately 15 minutes to set.
Carefully remove the medals from the molds.
Decorate the medals with edible spray or dust. (See notes below for decoration ideas.)
Once the spray or dust has set, thread a ribbon through the straws to create the medal ribbons.
