Monday morning is almost around the corner and this Starbucks shaken espresso recipe is the perfect pick me up for those hard hitting mornings. This morning we're making the famous Starbucks iced brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso, which is a popular drink at the famous coffee shop. You can make this coffeehouse favorite at home with just a few ingredients!

A clear glass of Starbucks Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso sits on a weathered light wood surface. The drink, a mix of light brown and creamy white, is topped with foam and a dusting of dark cinnamon. A small white bowl filled with cinnamon powder is next to the glass. The recipe is for a skinny Starbucks shaken espresso recipe.

    Ingredients

If you’ve ever ordered the iced brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso at Starbucks, you know it’s creamy, refreshing, and perfectly spiced. The ingredients for making your skinny Starbucks shaken espresso recipe are super simple!

A high-angle shot shows the ingredients for a coffee drink laid out on a light wood surface. From left to right, there is a carton of Planet Oat Unsweetened Original Oatmilk, a box of Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast Nespresso capsules, a bottle of Torani Sugar Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup, a small white bowl of ice cubes, and a small white bowl of ground cinnamon.

    You will need:

    • Starbucks blonde espresso
    • Sugar free brown sugar cinnamon syrup
    • Oatmilk
    • Ice
    • Cinnamon

    Instructions

A vertical, eye-level close-up shot of a Ninja coffee maker. A thin stream of coffee is pouring from the machine's spout into a plain white mug. The coffee maker's digital screen displays the words "over ice" and an icon of a cup. The background is a speckled countertop.

Brew shots of espresso (or strong coffee).

A hand is shown from the side, pressing down on a golden pump attached to a bottle of Torani Brown Sugar Cinnamon syrup. Next to the bottle is a clear glass with ice cubes inside. The items are on a light-colored wooden surface against a plain white wall.

Shake with brown sugar syrup and cinnamon until frothy.

Pour over fresh ice in a tall glass.

A vertical, close-up shot of creamy liquid oatmilk being poured from a pink and white container into a clear glass with ice. The liquid is hitting the ice, splashing slightly inside the cup. The container's label is partially visible on the left side, showing a red "original" sticker. The items are on a light wooden surface against a plain white wall.

Top with oat milk and stir gently.

    Measurements

To make this true to Starbucks sizes, here are some measurements for your syrup and espresso:

    • Tall: 2 shots espresso, 2 pumps (2 tablespoons) syrup
    • Grande: 3 shots espresso, 3 pumps (3 tablespoons) syrup
    • Venti: 4 shots espresso, 4 pumps (4 tablespoons) syrup

    Variations

    • Sweeter Drink: Add an extra pump or two of syrup
    • Stronger Coffee Kick: To make it stronger, add another shot or two of espresso.
    • Spiced Twist: Add a dash of nutmeg or vanilla extract.
    • Creamier: Starbucks uses this brand of oatmilk, but I like to use a lower calorie version and I add a splash or two of this to make it creamier.
A full-length, eye-level shot of a Ninja coffee maker on a speckled countertop. The coffee maker is black with silver accents. It has a glass carafe and a built-in milk frother on the right. To the left of the coffee maker are several syrup bottles, including Torani Vanilla and a sugar-free vanilla syrup. The time on the coffee maker's display shows "5:50". The coffee maker appears clean and ready for use.

What kind of coffee maker do you use?

I like this coffee maker. I always want the biggest bang for my buck.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Reduce the brown sugar syrup to 1 tablespoon and adjust to taste.

Can I make a hot version?

Yes—skip the ice and shake the espresso with syrup and cinnamon, then top with warm oat milk.
