    How I got started making simple recipes

    Hi, I'm Traci!

    Life evolves a lot, doesn't it? But the one thing that has remained constant through the years is that I've always been busy and on the go! I went from working twelve hour shifts as a single person in my twenties, to mom and wife, single mom and now a blended family.

    Making easy and simple recipes has been so important to making sure we save time and money.

I didn't start out as a great cook, in fact I've made my fair share of rubber cakes, rock hard muffins and charred meals over the years! (Complete with the fire alarm going off as background music!) I've made it my mission to make simple recipes that get you out doing what's important in your life!

    Why are there so many gluten free recipes on your site?

    I was diagnosed with colitis when my daughter was one. Going gluten free and mostly dairy free (FODMAP plan) has helped to control some of the symptoms of my colitis. All recipes on my website include dietary adaptations for most diets like vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and more. I don't think anyone should feel deprived! Grab some simple gluten free recipes.

    How do you cook for different dietary types?

    I say it comes down to cooking simple recipes with minimal ingredients. I eat gluten free and my kids and husband do not. Meals like spaghetti are super simple because the only thing I change up are the noodles I use for each. Since I'm only buying gluten free for me, the cost can really add up. Making simple meals helps so I'm only having to swap out one or two ingredients each meal.

    Can you really make delicious recipes with five ingredients or less?

    Yes! I've been doing it for years! Often I was finding I was taking longer to run and grab the family take out then to just make something quickly at home! I've made sure there are a variety of meals you can enjoy...most that are ready in under thirty minutes!
