Instructions
Making your garlic butter rolls is simple and easy to do. Let's get started:
Arrange rolls in your pan. Allow rolls to rise.
Bake rolls. Remove from oven. Melt butter, garlic, parmesan cheese and herb.
Spoon or brush butter, cheese and garlic mixture over the cooked warm rolls.
Enjoy!
- Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly coat an 8-inch or 9-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Arrange the Bread Dough: Place the frozen bread dough evenly spaced apart in the prepared baking dish.
- Cover and Defrost: Spray a piece of plastic wrap with nonstick cooking spray and place it over the baking dish to cover the rolls. Allow the rolls to defrost on the counter, covered, for 2 to 3 hours. During this time, the rolls will thaw and rise, more than doubling in size. (Note: For overnight defrosting, follow the same steps and refrigerate the rolls overnight.)
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the Rolls: Remove the plastic wrap from the baking dish and place it in the preheated oven. Bake the rolls for approximately 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: While the rolls are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Be sure to adjust the heat to prevent the garlic from overcooking or burning.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: Once the rolls are baked, remove the baking dish from the oven and place it on a cooling rack. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the garlic butter sauce over the tops of the rolls.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese over the garlic butter-coated rolls for added flavor and presentation. Serve the rolls warm and enjoy the delicious homemade goodness!

The rolls will stay fresh for several days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat for 10-15 seconds in the microwave to warm if desired.
You can also freeze the baked garlic butter rolls. Allow them to cool completely, then place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze until firm. Once frozen, transfer the rolls to a resealable plastic bag or airtight container and store them in the freezer for up to 2-3 months. To reheat, simply thaw the rolls at room temperature or in the microwave, or warm them in the oven until heated through.
FAQ
While these rolls are best enjoyed fresh from the oven, you can prepare the garlic butter mixture in advance and store it in the refrigerator until ready to use. Simply reheat the mixture gently before brushing it onto the cooked bread dough.
Absolutely! Feel free to adjust the amount of garlic and butter to suit your taste preferences. If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add additional minced garlic to the butter mixture. Similarly, you can adjust the amount of butter for a richer or lighter taste.
