    Let's Make Your Pear Sandwich

An open faced sandwich with cheese, turkey (optional), fruit and rosemary make for a flavorful sandwich that's under five ingredients! Pears are the perfect winter comfort food. This sandwich is an open faced sandwich with a crispy toast topped with turkey (optional), cheese, roasted pear and rosemary. This is the perfect easy lunch recipe.

    Ingredients

To make this Pear Sandwich, you will need two slices of bread, one pear, fresh roasted turkey slices, provolone cheese and some rosemary. Before getting started with your recipe, make sure to gather all these ingredients so that everything is ready to go when you start cooking.

    Prep the Pears

Start by thinly slicing the pear. You can remove the peels of the pear first if you would like. You can slice the pear by either using a knife or a mandoline slicer, if you have one available. Once your pear slices are ready, set them aside and finish by placing them in a pan and grilling them for several minutes.

    Are Pears FODMAP Friendly?

According to Monash University, pears are not considered FODMAP friendly. However, some are able to tolerate pears. You could also substitute a more FODMAP friendly fruit.

    Toast and Serve

Toast your bread, then assemble the turkey slices on top. Place the provolone cheese slices, then the pear on top. Broil under a broiler for a minute or two, or until the cheese melts. Remove from oven, sprinkle with rosemary before serving.

    Assemble the Sandwich

Enjoy your tasty pear sandwich with a drink, or share with friends and family - either way it's a great snack or easy lunch!

Do I Have To Use Turkey?

Absolutely not! To make this a vegetarian sandwich, just omit the turkey and make the sandwich with pear and cheese. Don't forget the rosemary, it will make it taste wonderful!

Can You Make This Recipe Dairy Free?

I haven't found a good dairy free provolone cheese, but you could easily substitute a dairy free mozzarella cheese slice if you would like. The sandwich will taste amazing!

    Enjoy!

Take a bite and enjoy the combination of sweet and savory flavors. The crunch of the bread, juicy pears, and turkey and rosemary make this sandwich a delightful snack or simple lunch. Enjoy these pear sandwiches solo or share with friends - either way they make a great treat!
