One of the most popular dog DNA tests on the market is through Wisdom Panel.
All the test requires is a simple cheek swab. Than you mail the DNA test off and get the results back. And host a party for all your furry guests!
Theme
You can personalize your dog party theme by embracing your pup's potential breed! If your mutt might be part husky, channel the Alaskan wilderness with some fun ice-themed decorations and wilderness decor. Think your dog might be a dachshund? Go with a fun hot dog themed party!
Decorations
Hang paw-print garlands, scatter squeaky toys as confetti, and display your pup's adorable photos. You can even go with DNA-themed touches like double helix balloons and test tube centerpieces.

Food is a fun one and the dogs will have a great time too enjoying a special treat. Serve some hot chocolate for dogs, dog cinnamon rolls, or dog treats.
Games
No party would be complete without some dog party games! We opted for a simple Guess the Breed game.
To make the game, we just got a poster board and printed dogs from a small breed dog website that we thought Allie might have in her. Everyone had to put their name on the three different breeds that they thought represented Allie.
Other fun DNA reveal party games could include Give a Dog a Bone game, or a dog breed trivia game. We also like this fun the Office inspired dog breed guessing game. You could also do a Jeopardy themed board.
The Big Reveal
There are some fun ways to present the great reveal. Here are some ideas:
- Balloons: Instead of filling balloons with pink or blue, fill them with pictures of the different dog breeds your dog is.
- Project the DNA test results on a screen
- Have a designated "genetics guru" unveil the breeds one by one
