    Making Aromatic & Savory Beef Consomme Butter Rice Cook Up

    There is a recipe that has been around our house for years. With Easter this weekend and many families looking for easy and simple recipes--this is one of them. The ease of throwing this into the oven was priceless. And....my husband could make it. Of course, it's his family recipe, so he was put in charge, but he made it!

    Enjoy the unique combination of flavors with this beef consomme butter rice recipe. Savory beef stock complements butter and rice perfectly, giving you an aromatic and delicious meal that is sure to wow your taste buds.

    Gather Your Ingredients

    Before you get started on this savory recipe, assemble all of the necessary ingredients. This includes 1 cup uncooked brown rice, 1 can beef consomme, ½ cup water and 1 cube melted butter. For an added touch of flavor, some chopped fresh parsley or chives can be added as a garnish at the end.

    Cook the Rice

    The great thing about this recipe is that the rice and all your other ingredients will cook in the oven so no need to pre cook it!

    Combine the sauce and rice

    In a greased 8x8 inch pan, mix together the rice, beef consomme, water and melted butter in a pan. Then cover the mixture with tin foil.

    Fluff and Serve!

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 cup uncooked brown rice
    • 1 can beef consomme must be consomme, no substitutions
    • ½ cup water
    • ½ cup melted butter

    Instructions
     

    • Melt the butter over low heat in a saucepan until melted. Remove from heat, add the consomme and water and stir until mixed. Pour the mixture into an 8x8 inch pan and stir in uncooked rice. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes covered, stirring halfway through. Remove cover halfway through cooking.
    • Serves 4-6 people
    • **You can absolutely double this recipe and place it in a 9x13 inch pan. The doubled recipe will feed 8-10 people and will need to cook for approximately an hour and fifteen minutes
