    Halloween Snack Board

Published: Oct 4, 2020 by burntapple · This post may contain affiliate links · 6 Comments

Today is one of those days that the snacks are flowing freely and the kids are just hungry for snacks. This Halloween Snack board is perfect for Halloween! You can even make them COVID friendly by using individual mini cheese boards or mini charcuterie boards.

This Halloween snack board came to life and took off when the kids started to raid the fridge.

I've learned through the years that if you have snacks out for the kids, they will eat it.

Especially when it comes to healthy food.

I often leave precut apples, grapes and carrots out on the counter for kids. It's amazing that when they are out and accessible, they eat them.

Today wasn't one of those days.

Today was a day that I broke down and let them eat a little junk food.

And then I regretted it greatly.

How to Assemble Your Halloween Snack Board:

First place your largest Halloween characters on the board. We started with our ghosts, witches hats and bats. And then we filled our board with different snack foods.

How did you make your Halloween figures?

    Witches Hats:

Our witches hats were made with Oreos and a dollop of frosting with a Hershey Kiss on top.

    Ghosts:

The ghosts were made with white cheddar cheese slices cut out in the shape of a ghost. You can also opt for provolone or mozzarella. Use candy or googly eyes to bring your ghost to life.

    Bats:

The bats were made with mini peanut butter cups and mini Hershey bars. You could go bigger and do full sized peanut butter cups and full sized Hershey bars snapped into pieces. We've even seen some use peanut butter cups and black licorice. Give your ghost some personality with some googly or candy eyes.

What Kind of Food Should Go On a Halloween Snack Board?

Any kind! You can use crackers, pretzels, popcorn or chocolate or yogurt covered pretzels. Nuts and seeds are always a winner too! Almonds, pumpkin seeds and other nuts were perfect. Cheese slices and fresh fruit like grapes and blueberries work too. And don't forget a little sweet. Chocolate is always a winner! The great thing about snack boards is you can customize them to what you have on hand in your house or go all out!

We can't wait to see what fun snack boards you come up with this season! Here are some other fun snack boards we've found around the web!
