    Making Gluten Free Cake Truffles

This is an easy and simple recipe that only requires a few ingredients. For ease, you can use a cake mix and a cake pop mold. The mold cuts down on time and helps you get these cake truffles ready to eat in about thirty minutes!

    Baking Supplies Needed:

    • Cake Pop Mold: We use this cake pop mold. But we've also made everything from pancake bites to donuts. (View related recipes below).
    • Melting Chocolate: We used black melting chocolate to make these extra eerie looking!
    • Halloween Candy: Grab some sprinkles and other spooky decor to decorate your truffles!

    Baking Ingredients Needed:

    Melting Chocolate Tips and Tricks

Because this recipe is using a cake pop mold, the cake will be a little harder to dip into the melted chocolate. Here are some tips we've found to making these cake truffles super easy!

    Dipping Chocolate

Once you've cooked the cake in the cake molds, remove them once they've had a few minutes out of the oven. Then freeze the cake and dip them in the chocolate while cold.

    Instruments for Dipping

Use a fork to dip your cake into the chocolate.

    Thinning Chocolate

Since these cake pops are a little bit harder to dip into the melting chocolate since you are using a cake pop mold, you can thin the melting chocolate a little bit using the instructions on the back of the melting chocolate package for thinning.

Getting Melting Chocolate to Set Up Quickly

For ease, you can line a cookie or baking sheet with wax paper. As you dip the truffles in melting chocolate, allow the excess to drip off, then place the truffles on a sheet of wax paper. Decorate, then allow truffles to begin to set. For faster setting time, place decorated truffles in the refrigerator or freezer.

    • 1 box cake mix any kind (see notes below)
    • 2 whole eggs (can substitute egg replacer)
    • ¼ cup oil, melted butter or melted coconut oil
    • ¾ cup milk (can substitute dairy free)
    • 1 bag melting chocolates
    • sprinkles, food decorations for truffles

    Instructions
