Making roasted sliced sweet potatoes
At Thanksgiving many families enjoy a sweet potato casserole with mashed sweet potatoes, butter, brown sugar and marshmallows. This one I made is a little different. I am not a fan of the sugar laden casserole, so I made sweet potatoes and kept a little bit of spice and sweetness. They came out perfect! For a complete Thanksgiving dinner with minimal ingredients, I opt to serve buttermilk brined turkey breast, cranberry sauce, and stuffed apples for dessert.
