    Only two ingredients are needed for this pesto mozzarella pearl appetizer! Grab some mozzarella pearls and some fresh or canned pesto, then toss! Add toothpicks and you are ready for party time! (Gluten free, soy free, nut free option, egg free, vegetarian, FODMAP)

    Ingredients for Pesto Mozzarella Pearls

    Your ingredient list is super simple!

    • Mozzarella pearls
    • Canned or fresh pesto
    • Toothpicks

    Pesto

    Pesto is traditionally made from pine nuts, garlic, salt, basil and a hard cheese like parmesan.

    Nut Free

    Looking at the pesto ingredient list, there is no way this is nut free right? Wrong! There are so many different variations of nut free pesto on the market now that you can easily enjoy pesto if you have a nut allergy!

    FODMAP

    If you have stomach upset, garlic isn't your friend, right? So are there any good garlic free pesto sauces out there? Yes!

    But you're going to have to make it. At least at this point and time. There isn't a good garlic free pesto on the market to purchase.

    Ingredients
      

    • 8 oz mozzarella pearls
    • 4 tablespoon pesto adjust to taste

    Instructions
     

    • Place mozzarella balls in a dish and separate if necessary.
    • Toss mozzarella pearls with the pesto sauce one tablespoon at a time until desired amount reached.
    • Add toothpicks and serve.

    Notes

    STORE:
    Store in an airtight container up to one day. Best served fresh.
