Indulge your senses in extra creamy fudge and signature chocolate taste! You won't know this fudge is dairy free fudge!

Tips for Making Dairy Free See's Fudge:
- My Fudge Did Not Turn Out. What Happened? Make sure that you have the milk and sugar at a rolling boil so it's hot enough to melt the chocolate. You also may need to adjust the temperature of the milk and sugar mixture so it doesn't burn.
- My Fudge Did Not Set Up: Is the humidity too high? If it's a humid day where you live, it may not set up. Fudge doesn't love humidity.
- How do I Store Fudge? Fudge can be stored in an airtight container for up to a couple of weeks at room temperature. It is not recommended to refrigerate fudge for very long as it may dry it out. You can freeze fudge in a Ziploc or airtight container for up to three months! To thaw just thaw in the fridge until soft.
What Substitutions Are Needed?
Evaporated Milk:
The original See's fudge recipe contains evaporated milk which you will want to use in this recipe. NOT sweetened condensed milk. I use dairy free evaporated milk which can be found at most health food stores. Nature's Charm dairy free evaporated milk is often the most easily found brand in stores. *Contains coconut

Chocolate:
This recipe uses both milk chocolate and semi sweet chocolate chips and/or bars. I like a good quality dairy free chocolate. There are many dairy free chocolate chip brands out there but for this recipe we used Enjoy Life chocolate chips. I can usually find them in grocery stores to health food stores easily.

Butter Substitutions:
Like chocolate chips, butter also has a lot of great dairy free options available on the market too! You can always use your favorite brand if you would like. For this recipe I used Earth Balance. I have used tub and stick butter fine when we've made this recipe. *may contain soy--some brands are soy free

Sugar:
This recipe calls for white sugar and I DO NOT recommend cutting down the sugar in this recipe or using sugar substitutions. I have tried several times and the texture just is not the same. If you are okay with the texture being a little different, I've tested this recipe using coconut sugar and cane sugar and as a result it worked okay. I did not have good results at all using calorie free sugar substitutes. I would love to try this recipe with a blended sugar substitute like Miss Jones Smart Cane Sugar Blend yet to see if it yields a different result.
Marshmallow Fluff:
Please use marshmallow fluff in this recipe, NOT marshmallows. Marshmallows will not give you the same consistency and texture to your fudge if you use marshmallows. Marshmallow fluff can be found in any store but if you would like a more natural version, we came across an organic version at Whole Foods by Toonie Moonie. *Contains egg whites
