Headaches. Middle of the night stomachaches and cramping. It doesn't quite feel like colitis symptoms, it's not COVID, so what could it be?

"When your whole body feels like crap but you're just used to it."--Colitis
For a week or so I've woken up in the middle of the night with stomach cramps and pain. Not enough to be as painful as the time I had appendicitis or those times I had cysts on my ovaries. But painful enough I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. The kind of pain that just hangs on and aggravates you off and on throughout the day. Towards the afternoon the headaches hit and carry me through the evening until bedtime. I'm just so tired all the time and ready for bed by 9:00pm.
What to Do...
Things feel 'off.' What to you do? I suggest starting with a call to your doctor or a visit. Sometimes it's as simple as changing medications or like this last trip to the doctor it might yield lab draws, ultrasounds and a negative COVID test.
While You Wait...
Welcome again to the world of being functionally sick (or functionally ill)--whichever phrase you prefer. It's all the same. It's that wonderful charade you put all over Instagram while your head is crumbling inside. It's walking through the doors of your job with a smiling face hoping you can make it to your office in time to sit down for a minute or two to stop the stomach cramps for a minute before having to get moving again. It's the pharmacy you have located in your desk drawer made for any emergencies you experience from your stomach to your head. It's having to set up your Apple watch alarms to remind you of obligations through the brain fog. It's miserable and frustrating to live this way. You adapt and find those moments of the day you get a break to run errands, try to exercise, or walk the dogs.
Just because I look okay, doesn't mean I am.
