    Making Donuts

    Ingredients

    • Glazed plain donuts
    • Butter, melted
    • Vanilla ice cream
    • Salted Caramel Sauce

    Instructions

    1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
    2. Brush the melted butter on both sides of the donuts.
    3. Place the donuts on the grill and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until they are lightly browned and toasted.
    4. Remove the donuts from the grill and top with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
    5. Serve the donuts immediately.

Tips for Making the Best Donuts:

    1. Use Plain Donuts: While you can use any type of donut for this recipe, we recommend using plain donuts so that the flavor of the grill really shines through.
    2. Use Melted Butter: Brushing the donuts with melted butter before grilling helps to prevent them from sticking to the grill and adds a delicious buttery flavor.
    3. Don't Overcook the Donuts: Donuts cook quickly on the grill, so be sure to watch them carefully to prevent them from burning. You want the donuts to be lightly toasted and browned on the outside, but still soft and fluffy on the inside.
    4. Customize Your Toppings: While you can never go wrong with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, you can also get creative with your toppings. Try topping the donuts with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or even a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

Can't wait to try! Do you grill the sugar side down or the cut side? Another option would be to use salted caramel ice cream! Thanks 😉

I LOVE the idea of salted caramel ice cream! I grill mine cut side down, just long enough to get a few grill marks on it and heat the doughnut. You can also butter the cut side if you like before placing it on the grill, but I didn't find it necessary. Enjoy!!
