    Step 1: Prepare the Foil

Cut sheets of tin foil into squares, each large enough to hold one s'more.

    Step 2: Butter the Foil

Use the butter to lightly grease the tin foil. Place a graham cracker square in the center of each foil sheet.

    Step 3: Add the Chocolate

Break the chocolate bars into pieces or sprinkle chocolate chips over the buttered graham crackers.

    Step 4: Layer the Marshmallows

Place marshmallows on top of the chocolate. You can use as many as you like, but the more, the gooier! Place the other graham cracker half on top.

Step 5: Seal the Foil Packets

Carefully fold the foil over the s'mores, creating a packet. Make sure to seal it tightly, so none of the deliciousness escapes during cooking.

    Step 6: Bake or Grill

You have two options for cooking your Tin Foil S'mores:

    • Oven Method: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the foil packets for about 5-7 minutes or until the marshmallows are soft and gooey.
    • Grill Method: If you prefer that campfire taste, place the foil packets on a preheated grill for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until the marshmallows are perfectly toasted.

    Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

Carefully open the foil packets (be cautious of hot steam) then enjoy!

Variations for Your Tin Foil Smores Dessert

While the classic Tin Foil S'mores recipe is a winner on its own, you can add a creative twist:

    • Peanut Butter S'mores: Spread a layer of peanut butter on the graham cracker before adding the chocolate and marshmallows for a nutty kick.
    • Fruit-Infused S'mores: Add thin slices of banana, strawberries, or even raspberries to the mix for a fruity twist.
    • Caramel S'mores: Drizzle caramel sauce over the marshmallows and chocolate for an extra indulgent treat.
