Serving
Grilled glazed donuts are perfect for a summery sweet breakfast or a brunch inspired dessert. Once the donuts are cooked you can top them with a variety of toppings!
Type of Donut to Use
Plain glazed donuts are the best to use for this recipe. I don't recommend using cake donuts. Some of my family has said Krispy Kreme glazed donuts are the best for grilling but most of the time I just grocery store donuts since I'm going there anyway for my gluten free donuts.
You can also use your favorite:
- Gluten free glazed donuts
- Keto glazed donuts
- Paleo glazed donuts
How to Make
Heat your grill to low-medium heat. (Usually I'll grill the donuts before or after making whatever meat I'm making). DO NOT place your donuts on the top shelf of your grill while cooking your meat. The glaze from the donuts will drip onto your meat!
- First: Preheat your grill to low-medium heat. (Approximately 350-400 degrees)
- Second: Cut your donuts in half. Place them on the grill, insides on the grill for a couple of minutes until golden brown. (You can flip them over and cook the other side too but that is personal preference).
- Third: Remove donuts from grill and top with toppings. Serve.
