– ½ tsp baking soda – 4 tbsp butter softened – 1 cup sugar – ½ cup salted caramel sauce homemade or storebought – 1 egg – 1 tsp vanilla – 2 cups unbleached all purpose flour – 1 tsp baking powder – ¼ cup butter softened – ¼ cup salted caramel sauce – 3-4 cups powdered sugar – 1-2 tsp milk (if needed to thin)
