    Five Ingredient Gluten Free Turkey Chili

    Delicious five ingredient gluten free turkey chili with ground turkey, seasoning, tomatoes and beans. A hearty and delicious meal for the colder months!

    Chili History

    It's hard to know what the true story behind chili is. It's said to have roots in Mexico, but no one really knows for sure. Chili often includes meat, beans, tomatoes and spices.

    Meat

    Chili can use a variety of meat from chicken, beef, turkey, buffalo or even plant based meat options.

    Beans

    The type of beans you use can also vary too. Chili recipes can use black beans, kidney beans, white beans or pinto beans.

    Seasoning

    Expect to see chili powder in almost any chili recipe you make, but from there you'll see lot's of different spices.

    Tomatoes

    Most chili recipes will call for tomatoes. Diced tomatoes are common, but tomato sauce, tomato paste or crushed tomatoes may be used too.

    Toppings

    Typical chili toppings may include:

    • Cheese
    • Sour cream
    • Avocado
    • Tortilla chips
    • Lime
    • Cilantro
    • Salsa
    • Guacamole
    • Olives
    • Mango

    Storage

    Chili can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for several days.

    Five Ingredient Gluten Free Turkey Chili

    Delicious five ingredient gluten free turkey chili with ground turkey, seasoning, tomatoes and beans. A hearty and delicious meal for the colder months!

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 pkg chili seasoning mix
    • 1 pound ground turkey
    • 1 can (14.5 oz) petite diced tomatoes
    • 1 can (15 oz) kidney or black beans
    • Toppings: See notes for toppings

    Instructions
     

    • Brown the turkey in a pan on medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain fat.
    • Reduce heat to medium low, Add the chili seasoning mix and stir until combined. Add in the tomatoes and beans. Simmer until chili is warm. Remove from heat and serve with toppings.

    Notes

    Storage: Chili will store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for several days. Heat to rewarm.
