    Instructions

    Step 1: Place the chicken breasts in crockpot.

        Step 3: Cook the chicken mixture in the crockpot. Once ready, cook pasta according to package directions.

            • Gluten free: Substitute gluten free penne pasta
            • Vegan: Substitute vegan chicken breasts. See notes below for dairy free/vegan substitutions.
            • Dairy free: Use dairy free parmesan cheese. Substitute dairy free Italian dressing in place of the Olive Garden Italian dressing and substitute dairy free cream cheese.

            For this recipe you will need a crockpot. My favorite crockpot is the Hamilton Beach Crockpot and the best is that mine has lasted 10+ years!

            Storage

            Yes! Store the mixture in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat on the stovetop or in the microwave.

            Yes! Feel free to substitute penne with rigatoni, fusilli, or any pasta of your choice.

            Equipment

            • 1 crockpot or slow cooker

            Ingredients
              

            • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
            • 1 bottle 16 oz Olive Garden Italian Dressing
            • 1 block 8 oz cream cheese, softened
            • 1 pound penne pasta
            • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

            Instructions
             

            • Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot. Pour the Olive Garden Italian dressing over the chicken
            • Add the softened cream cheese on top of the chicken.
            • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
            • Remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it using two forks.
            • Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir to combine with the sauce.
            • Boil the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
            • Add the cooked pasta to the crockpot and mix until evenly coated with the sauce.
            • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and stir.
            • Serve warm with additional Parmesan, if desired.
