    Air Fryer Roasted Okra Fries

    Are you an okra fan? I always thought okra was slimy and gross but I recently tried it again roasted and thought that it tasted really good! Okra becomes a whole new vegetable when you cook it on high heat. It is nice and crispy on the outside and has a soft consistency on the inside with a robust amount of flavor! (gluten free, dairy free, soy free, nut free, egg free, vegan, vegetarian, FODMAP in small amounts)

    Air Fryer Roasted Okra Fries

    Roasting okra elevates it to a whole new level of deliciousness! It's simple to cook and prepare and is full of flavor!

    Prep Time 5 mins
    Cook Time 15 mins

    Ingredients
      

    • ½ pound okra ends trimmed and pods sliced
    • 1 tsp olive oil
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • ⅛ tsp pepper

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees.
    • In a bowl, combine the okra, olive oil, salt and pepper until combined.
    • Place the okra in a single layer in the air fryer.
    • Cook in the air fryer for approximately 5 minutes. Toss and cook approximately 5 minutes more. Toss again and cook for 2-3 minutes Serve immediately.

    I've been making over recipes since I was ten. Back then I wasn't so great at it and created everything from rubber cakes for my Dad's birthday to rock muffins that put a hole in the wall.

    Diagnosed with colitis ten years ago and with three young children I had to learn to cook. But life was busy and there wasn't a lot of time to cook or figure out what I could eat!
